Margarita H. Hinojosa, 82, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at her residence in Freer surrounded by her family. She was a resident of Robstown until 1960 when she moved to Freer and resided there until her death. She was a migrant worker picking cotton in the cotton fields. She enjoyed dancing, barbequing and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Hinojosa Sr.; a son, Daniel Hinojosa Jr.; daughter, Baby Esmeralda Hinojosa; son-in-law, Jessie Salinas; grandson-in-law, Alex Munoz; great granddaughters, Angelique and Angelica Garza; sister, Luisa Pena and brother, Guadalupe Hernandez.
Margarita is survived by her son, Rene H. (Rosie) Hinojosa, Sr. of Freer, Texas; two daughters, Criselda H. (Mark) Longoria of Corpus Christi, Texas; Cristina Salinas of Benavides, Texas; one sister, Manuela (Pablo) Cisneros of Victoria, Texas; one brother, Jose (Adela) Hernandez of Blythe, California; 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Garza Funeral Home in Freer, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013

at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Freer, Texas. Interment will follow at the Hahl Memorial Cemetery in Freer, Texas
